Since 1884, Portman Road has long been the home stadium for Ipswich Town F.C. who at present compete in the Championship in England. It’s a all-seater stadium that has a capacity of 30,031 and lies in the centre of Ipswich, simply two or three hundred metres from the railway station which is on the mainline to London.

Leicester boys, Kasabian are hugely popular, particularly amongst the footballing crowd as their songs have been used in many football ad campaigns, highlights and match promotions. Their indie-rock-electro sound seems to strike a chord with the tempo of football and the fans it attracts; this is why they have signed a three year deal with the Barclays premier league.

World Cup fever has taken the world by storm and a topic of huge controversy is the noisy South African instruments that have all but drowned out the crowds at every stadium. The lengthy horns are selling out at any shop that sells them and the droning noise once unique to South Africa is spreading like wildfire.

The Vuvzela has recently been the focus of international discussion; it has become the accessory of the 2010 World Cup football tournament in South Africa. But the origin of the loud, lengthy horn is a topic of controversy. Its origin is commonly disputed as it is difficult to determine a point at which the horn was introduced but there are several parties that claim its invention.
