The English Premiere League is massive business. Football is massive in Britain. The Premiere League is the ultimate achievement with teams like Manchester United, new money men Manchester City (now reported to be the wealthiest club in the world thanks to their Billionaire Arab owner), Chelsea (Multi-millionaire Russian owner), Arsenal, and now with the re-emergence of Liverpool under the helm of ex legend player Kenny Daglish.

Manchester United are one of the best supported football clubs in the world. They really are a worldwide brand. You only need to take a trip to Old Trafford to see the variety of races and folk who support this club. Lots of the English supporters are from outside Manchester too. This is truly outstanding.

Mounir El Hamdaoui is a Dutch player of Moroccan descent (he plays in the national team of Morocco). Yesterday evening he was playing with his Dutch team Ajax Amsterdam against Heerenveen and displayed some magic. He scored two goals that are shown everywhere right now, because they are awesome! Two beauties in the same match! The only other player that I have seen in my days that scored even three of those in one match, was legendary Dutch international Dennis Bergkamp (who played in London with Arsenal for a long time).

There has not been a season in recent memory which has witnessed such a close title race in English football in over a decade or more. Since the advent of the English Premier League, most seasons have seen the competition reduced to a two horse race or either one of Manchester United, Chelsea or Arsenal dominating the rest of the division. Fortunately for fans of the league, this season has provided more twists and turns than can be afforded a donut. The result is a sweet concoction of action, drama, irony and incredible stories for the media and fans alike.

One of Englands most beloved sporting figures, Sir Bobby Robson, yielded to his courageous fight with cancer recently at the age of 75. Even the often critical British press had nothing bad to say about the universally respected Robson, headlining their obituaries with adjectives like The Bravest Knight or simply The Legend.
