The common electric-powered drills most of us work with nowadays were once manually operated tools. Some of them are still in use today, like the brace and bit, and eggbeater drill. The easily foreseeable problem with their use is that their applications are limited, considering one can’t possibly use them for a lot of building materials. An electric powered drill allows one to complete projects faster, easier, and more efficiently. There are plenty of power drills you can get right off the shelf at present, with several more subtypes of varying capacities and features.

Glass is difficult to work with seeing as it is so brittle and hard. You certainly don’t want to mess with tempered glass either. There is a type of glass that will just shatter if you try to do anything like cutting a hole in it. Great care is needed working with tools on glass. Use gloves, eye protectors or better still a face mask, to keep yourself safe. The diamond tipped glass drill bit is the hardest cutting material and that is what you will need to cut or grind a hole in glass.
