I’ve visited the Buffalo Bills’ training facility twice during the preseason and I have to say that I’m very pleased with what I’m witnessing. This looks like a new Bills team, ready to build upon the moderate success of last season and I believe they’ll bring things to another level in 2009. Almost every element of the team is better than it was last year.

Terrell Owens is looking great so far, and I believe he’ll be happy in his new home. I can’t remember a bigger player ever having come to Buffalo, and he really seems to catch every pass that comes his way.

While I know that he gets hit with nagging injuries from time to time, hopefully he’ll be ok through the year - because with Lee Evans by his side, there will be few better one-two wide receiver duos (if any) in the league.

As far as their running backs are concerned, I’m very happy here too. Dominic Rhodes is a seasoned veteran whose presence should help the rest of the team. A young Fred Jackson will fill in fine for Lynch while he’s out, much in part to Rhodes’ presence.

As far as Lynch goes, he will be missing the first few games due to his suspension, but I think he’ll be in great shape come week 4 once he’s able to play. This should be a great year for Lynch, as Owens’ presence will create some serious opportunities.

Now the biggest question mark is the offensive line. Bills fans everywhere are hoping that the no huddle will lessen the load on these young guys.

To counter these concerns, the Bills will be running many no huddle plays. This may wear down defenses, making the offensive line’s job a bit easier.

I’m going to the last exhibition game that the Bills have during this preseason. I’ll update you all after the game, and I hope that you come back to read this update and others through the season.
