It has finally started. NFL season.

In theory it started this past week on the astro turf in Boise, ID in a game meant to be known for what took place after the blunt Blount bash -more than anything that occurred at a small number of point in the 60 minutes of regulation.

And currently the Steelers - hoping to turn into the 1st team ever since the Patriots to do it again - started their Super Bowl defense with a sweet win over Tennessee to begin the 2009 football season.

I identify I am not as productive throughout NFL season. Suddenly, I am only doing stuff in between commercials, if ever, on weekends, plus Thursday nights, Friday nights, and Monday nights.

Then throw in fantasy football - which drastically lessens the amount of time I’d otherwise be productive, writing, or doing something prolific-and lots more time than I care to confess are spent on this game.

This time of season, I undoubtedly do not eat as well.

Wednesday night, I had salmon with steamed vegetables and went for a swim after a 6 mile jog.

Thursday (game day), I consumed a super burrito, too many chips, several, more chips, and saw the movie Max Payne after the game, prior to checking fantasy statistics for Kerry Collins and then stumbling to bed, bloated from the chips.

Don’t understand if there are some football detox programs and even if there were, I wouldn’t voluntarily participate. Hopefully my family wouldn’t stage any sort of intervention.

Fact is, I don’t want to quit, although as a Broncos lover that can change as the season progresses.

NFL and NCAA nfl are religion for a large percentage of the population. We’re corn chip-devouring cult members following the rantings of Chris Collinsworth.

So it is on. The 2009 season began and, like it or not, my days won’t be the same until a month into 2010, when the natural NFL detox starts.
