Manchester United tickets are some of the most popular football tickets for Premier League, FA Cup, Curling Cup, and Champions League matches.
For home games, the team gives priority to members of its One United fan club, who can apply for tickets in a lottery. Entries usually must be received 4-6 weeks before game day and winners of the lottery will receive their tickets in the mail (fans in some countries might be required to pick up the tickets at the box office on game day).
For some of the games (e.g. Champions League matches), the period to apply for tickets might be much shorter. It makes sense to become a member of One United and to enter the lottery, because home games very rarely go on sale to the general public.
For away games, the team gives priority to its season ticket holders. Manchester United usually only gets an allocation of several thousand tickets from the host team and demand among season tickets holders is usually greater than the number of available tickets.
Therefore, One United members and the general public are unable to apply for these tickets. One could try to buy tickets directly from the host team, but this is only a good strategy if you don’t mind sitting with the home team fans. Tickets for games at the other very popular Premier League teams (Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal) or for the local derby against Manchester City will be very tough to find, but you might have more luck when Manchester United plays at some of the less popular Premier League teams. Away games during the Group Stage of the Champions League might be a good option to see Manchester United live. Each team has a different policy when it comes to selling tickets to home games, so check the respective team’s website for information on when tickets go on sale.
Getting tickets for most games will not be easy because Manchester United is one of the most followed teams in the world. Even by following the strategies described above, there is no guarantee that you will be successful in getting Manchester United tickets. If you are willing to pay a higher price, then you should be able to find some tickets in the secondary market offered by some ticket brokers.
