The Cardiff City Football Club also known as the Cardiff Blues is a great football team based in Cardiff, the capital of Wales and play at the Cardiff City Stadium. It is the only non-England team to win major English championships.
The club is the only team apart from any England team to win major English trophies. The history of this team is not of a successful one but in recent times, it has acquired a status of a good team and has become a formidable force. For the Welsh people of Cardiff, the team is a matter of pride and joy.
Bluebirds initiated their match this season 2009-10 against Scunthorpe United at home, a relief for the Bluebirds as they might thrive on the local support also it will be their first match against any opponent team in the brand new stadium erected for them. In November the team clashes with Swansea City but this time the fans will just have to travel away from their town to cheer up the blue bird speed.
In August the Carling Cup awaits the team, where two seasons ago against Liverpool the performance was remorsefully not up to the mark. In the first round the Bluebirds hope to find a new beginning when they clash out against Dagenham and Redbridge. The game will be played at home in the newly built stadium. The fans sure hope that this stadium be lucky for their team and gives a prudent initiating moral booster for the rest of the season to their winning team.
Rest assured the devotees though are frustrated on the leaving of their defender Roger Johnson. However are even so affirmative about the alternate which is in progress and hope to find triumphs in this and following seasons. As well also with Eddie Johnson having acquired how to score on European land and his relentless labouring in the practice sessions, let us hope fortune and triumph be on the great Bluebird’s side.
