Rio De Janeiro is definitely a impressive city with big highrises and apartments, fantastic beaches for instance Ipanema and Copacabana and a great party ambiance at nighttime. It does obviously have a highly recorded negative side to it. Quite a few people are put off from visiting Rio de Janeiro as a consequence of crime but in fact there’s nothing to concern yourself with by any means. The majority of youth sides are coached by one of the player’s parents – it’s how a lot of coaches get involved in the game, after all, when taking over the reins from another Dad.
This can kick-start a massive learning curve as many parents’ boots were probably hung up several years before. More importantly though, [...]

When it comes to doing handy work around the home you will usually find that a drill is one of the most important tools that you can have. Depending on what type of work you have to do, you may need to use a wide variety of drills to perform each task. Putting the effort in at training is important and I always want to see my players trying their best at training sessions. But they need a framework to do so….
The exercises and drills you use must be relevant to the coaching point you are getting across.
This week I wanted to work on the agility of [...]

Soccer is the most widely played game in the world. Requiring no more than a ball big enough to be thrown by the feet, it is very popular in a lot of countries. The advantages that soccer offers are plentiful; not only does it supply your body with a good workout and refreshes your mind, but it also creates a sense of team spirit and dynamism. However there is always a downside; soccer players have to put up with different kinds of injuries, something that is inevitable while playing this tough sport, as countless soccer news stories illustrate.

Athletes have invariably been a product of their time. If you go back to the 1900’s you had gigantic barrel chested strongmen lifting up sofa’s with loads of folks sitting on them. Now even in golf you can see professionals who've ripped arms, strong backs and quads and muscle-bound pecs. This is the product of modern coaching and strength conditioning.
