Sporting giants Adidas have recently released a series of gadgets that monitor heart rate, distance and speed when running; they have dubbed them ‘miCoach’. Unlike usual heart rate monitors, the data is not just output on a watch; instead they pair with software downloadable for free for all smartphones.

Leicester boys, Kasabian are hugely popular, particularly amongst the footballing crowd as their songs have been used in many football ad campaigns, highlights and match promotions. Professionals, college, and high school play soccer with two 45 minute halves. The rules of soccer is simple, two teams that consist of nine players and a goalie. The players are only allowed to play the soccer ball with their feet, and they are divided into offense and defense. Kicking the ball into the opposing team’s goal is the game’s main objective. Therefore, the only one allowed to use their hands as well as their feet are the goalies.

Recently there has been much speculation over the future ownership of Liverpool Football Club, most notably a possible buyout by Chinese businessman Kenneth Huang. Back in 2008 he was linked to a possible sale of the club but lost interest after its 650m valuation; the club is currently valued at 350m.
