According to Vaughn McClure from the Chicago Tribune, Dusty Dvoracek, nose tackle for the Chicago Bears, was injured during training camp and will be having an MRI to look at just how bad the injury is. During the game against the Giants last week, Dvoracek was injured and taken out of the game.

Sports fans love to brag about their trivia knowledge. Many of the facts out there are pretty commonplace, almost shameful if you don’t know them. Whether it’s Babe Ruth’s career home run total, Michael Jordan’s jersey number, or anything else like this, they’ve become a part of pop culture.

All is well in sunny Wisconsin as a man sits inside a high school gymnasium to see his son play some basketball. While all is quiet inside the gym, this man is hearing some different things. Ringing in his ears, and a buzzing in his head.

This is truly my favorite time of the sports year. Not because of the beginnings of NFL preseason. Not because of my fantasy football drafts. Not because of the MLB pennant race that’s heating up, and not because of the upcoming college sports season. It’s all because of a little known event, beloved in England.

1. Drew Brees - QB - New Orleans Saints: 413/635, 5,069 Yards, 34 TD’s, 17 INT’s, 10 300 YD Games: Brees is the only QB coming off a 5,000 yard season. He was very effective last year without his best receiver, this year he has Marques Colston back. Brees will once again be the best Fantasy QB.

8. Ole Miss to compete for the SEC. I really like this team this season because of a relatively weak division (save for Florida), and the fact that I do think they can actually beat the Gators, though not every time out. Snead seems to have Tebow’s number and I see this team making the Sugar Bowl.

Funny how a lot of teams in the top division in England have had a change of heart and decided that the Carling Cup is now worth winning.
For years it’s been the stage for trying out players and letting the reserves have the spotlight. Now teams outside the top four in the Premier League [...]
